A fine pair of shipping rummers , each engraved with a ship at full sail, titled ‘Alfred’,The reverse engraved with a cypher monogram,contained in a floral wreath
Having a large conical bowl raised on a short capstan stem and lemon-squeezer base
Height 6 inches
Bowl diameter 4.5 inches
Minute flea bites to underside of feet
Otherwise good condition
Engraved Alfred
Possibly relating to HMS Alfred, which featured in the Battle of Cape St Vincent, the Battle of Saint Kitts and the Battle of Saintes.
